By Kim Hee-joon (Bloomberg)Melania Trump’s new coat was a hit at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
But the $3.1 million price tag is about to come back to haunt her, according to an analysis by Bloomberg.
Melania’s new suit is an upgrade from the $1.9 million jacket she wore during her presidential bid, which she sold for $1,995.
The new coat costs $1 and up, according the analysis, with the optional extra cost of $750 for a personalized embroidered hat and $250 for a signature mink collar.
Melanie is also getting a new dress, according a source familiar with the decision.
It’s a $1 million dress, and the coat is $750.
It will be made in France, the source said.
In the past, Melania Trump has had to pay more for a dress because of the cost of the original, which came in at $1 at a New York designer.
She bought it at the New York and Geneva Fashion Weeks last month.
The $3 million cost is about twice the price of a new suit and the $750 mark, according data from a website called Fashionista.
The analysis also notes that Melania’s coat was not a custom item and that the coat was sold for about $1K at a discount store, not the $2,500 it would have cost if it had been a custom order.
The price tag also includes the $300 for a customized embroidered cap and $200 for a mink-collar collar.
The coat has a limited run of just 300, according Fashionista, so you’d better be sure to order it now if you want one.
