The Weather Network has hired Weather Underground’s chief meteorologist, Josh Willis, to serve as chief meteorology analyst.
The Weather Network and Weather Underground have teamed up to produce a new documentary about the impact climate change has on the lives of Americans, according to a press release from the Weather Network.
The film, entitled ‘The Last Days,’ is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, January 18 at 7 p.m.
ET on the Weather Channel and Weather Channel News.
The program will feature the voices of prominent experts from around the country as well as local weather experts and weather enthusiasts.
“It’s a chance for us to connect with people on the ground in the United States and around the world who share our values and beliefs in the importance of a strong climate,” Weather Network CEO Steve Loomis said in a statement.
“Climate change is happening, and it’s not going away anytime soon.
But it is happening now, and its impact on our lives is clear.
We are the weather.”
Worst-case scenarios for the future include a record-setting temperature increase and widespread drought and wildfires.
Weather forecasters have already forecast some of the worst effects, including heavy rains and wildfires, with devastating effects in the South.
